I would think, that the boost in growth hormone levels during sauna has a lot to do with the benefits…
We're actually still pretending that cholesterol is a risk factor in heart disease?
Love the sauna, been using it for years. However, the sauna increases prolactin levels, how can we mitigate this
I wonder if there are difference in benefit in between jacuzzi and sauna
Skel Leetal?
Do electrolytes get out of balance due too losing so much thru sweat?
Bro, how is it game changing sauna study if you can't draw any conclusions?
I am interested in hearing your opinion of the detrimental effect of sitting for long periods of time on longevity. Worryingly, I've heard of studies that suggested that even regular exercise doesn't cancel out the damage of sitting.
Sweatin u damn ass off boy !!!
Just wait until you combine cold, hot, and exercise together
Does the sauna exposure have to be AFTER exercise to get optimal benefit? I'd really prefer to go in the sauna PRE-workout if possible. What's the difference between the two?
Just add a 5 sec video saying:
“Sauna good 👍”
Can't do It. Hate humidity.
Funny how this was a great study because I recently implemented cardio and sauna into my fitness routine and I feel ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
48 participants and 8 weeks cannot be considered valid. Maybe 48k people and a decade of data and you might convice me.
Can you accomplish the same benefits with a hot shower?
Sauna twice a week, freezing cold shower twice a week, daily fast of at least 12hrs, low carb generally, no deep fried in seed oil products generally, organic foods where possible , drink a fair bit of water (at least 3 pints daily) , a sprinking of secret supplements = live for 5,000 to 6,000 yrs at least.
I live in southern alabama. It's a sauna here all year except for about a week in january. You're looking at high temperatures and high humidity. Hit the gym and then just step outside for 15 minutes.
hi, does the steam room have the same affect as Saunas? steam rooms are at my gym
150 Beats in a sauna bath? I never had more than 80/90 during a sauna session. 150 is normal when running etc, not in sauna.
I sit in the sauna after every workout…usually 6-5 days a week. 15-20 minutes at 180-195 F. I used to feel like crap the next day after the gym…but after doing sauna i feel great
I used to do the dry sauna after workouts until they closed for covid. It doesn’t raise my heart rate though, even in high temps. So would I not get as much as a benefit?? Also, I’ll be getting access to an infra red sauna soon. That will definitely help in recovery and anti aging correct?
I assume that the participants were using traditional electric heater / steam saunas and not infrared. The infrared units I am seeing on-line don't reach the recommended temps of 80C (176F) to 100C (212F).
I do lots of hot yoga. Is there any studies on it. Sitting in a sauna is boring. Would love to know health benefits of hot yoga.
Who developed a sauna and thought simply being hot was a good idea? Does anyone here actually enjoy it?
Does the sauna have to be directly after the sport or just randomly timewise?
What about cold showers? I take cold showers on a daily basis.. I red, and I know this helps to improve mine Immunsystem
