  2. How many minutes should you stay in the sauna that many times a week of 4 -7? Did she say? I stay in the sauna at the gym at a 180° for a hour with sweats and hoodie and skelly cap. The heat feels really good, I can go to sleep in their. Am I killing myself in that hour? I do sauna a hour before workout and a hour after.

  3. Let’s call a spade a spade here…. Ppl who have saunas live longer not because of there sauna but because there smart enough to put themselves in a place in life to be able to buy a sauna…. You’re also smart enough to eat right and not be a drunk or pot head if you’re there too…. Stupid ppl die!! It’s natural selection!!!!!

  4. I live in France near Germany, In 2005, around 1.6 million private saunas 11,300 public saunas were available in Germany.

    I practice “Aufguss” 3 Times a week, aufguss can be translated with “Infusion”. It describes the activity of pouring water on the hot stones of the sauna oven.

    The water immediately vaporizes into steam, and increases the heat and humidity inside of the sauna room. (Like indian sweat lodges ceremonies)

    As a empiric analyse from my expérience i Can say Aufguss IS much more powerfull than "static sauna" which is howerver totaly complémenty to aufguss.

    The main effects i Can expérience with aufguss are :
    -> deep détox action,
    -> great body reset After alcool/tabasco Fest,
    -> great mind reset : less stress and more capacity to thing very clearly,
    -> indispensable routine in my life since 2008.
    -> good burn out therapy alternative
    -> good dépression therapy alternative.

    By the way, we drink sometime small amount of alcool during ceremony. 😉

Electrolytes — I need to learn about them with sauna practice but have trouble with the measure of sodium… being WFPB and having heard Dr. Greger warn us on salt being a big cause of illness. I just have to say, as I must have written before, HOW EXCITING IT IS to watch and listen to you! Your enthusiasm, clarity, patience with those who are not scientists, your explanatory notes, and your entire style is so inspiring. Had I been born in the last 30 years, I would follow you in your career. Thank you for educating me and for cheering us up (my husband who briefly taught college chemistry in the 80's shares my delight in you) with every infusion of Rhonda!

  6. Dr Patrick, Bravissima! Are any benefits from the IF Sauna Infrared rays? Is there a body temperature rise that signals enough heating? What if we stayed in the 140 sauna for 45- 60 minutes? If BDNF goes up in hot baths would we not get this in a long 140 degree IF sauna? Would near or far Infrared be more effective? How So?

  7. Good information! Sauna almost every day seems quite time consuming, unless you have a significant health issues. Currently I use a spa w hot jaccusi, dry & steam sauna 2x weekly.
    I use the hot cold therapys for inflamation. Alternate steam sauna about 10 min, cold plunge 3 min, dry sauna 20 min, cold plunge 3 minutes, hot jaccisi 10 min, cold plunge 3 minutes. Also incorporate the Win Hoff breathing about 3x weekly.
    This is a huge benefit for mental clarity & mood which lasts long after. I do wish she spoke more about the cold therapy. Many are healing them w cold therapy.

  8. In one of the videos on the Practical Health channel, it was said that no food is recommended 2-3 hours before a sauna visit, during the visit, and 1-2 hours after the visit. So, it's 4-5 hours of no food intake. Is it really the case?Do people get hungry during this time?

  9. I am 65 now and have been using my Infra red sauna for over 10 years now 3 time a week 30 min I wish I know more about the positive side. 140 f thats all it goes to. I feel great every time !!! and I still work full time and have my 10000 steps or more a day too, Thank you for all this great info !!!!

  10. Infrared sauna doesn't have a kiuas or löyly so it should not be considered as A SAUNA. It is something else. Also the figure people sitting in a sauna is completety wrong. You should sit above the kiuas and not on the same level, that is for 6 year-olds.

    SAUNA. IS. NOT. AN. EXRERCISE. That is why it's so relaxing, also the beer and the sausages help.

  11. In Malaysia mostly we use the portable saunas with herbs in the steaming pot. The herbs helps to elimnate wind in the vein thus helps with better blood flow, healthy skin etc etc. Also widely use during the last stage of confinement period.

  12. Rhonda heavily pushed the COVID vaccines continuously as being safe and effective. She spoke derisively about people like me, who were hesitant to be human guinea pigs for previously untested vaccines that were rushed to the market to be tested on humans via EUA's, not FDA approval. So here we are 2 1/2 years in. I've never been vaxxed with these terrible experimental inoculations. They aren't vaccines as they don't prevent infection or transmission. I take Ivermectin and vitamin supplements, manage my weight, exercise, and have been sick only two days in 2 1/2 years. I've never gotten COVID that I know of. How has Ronda done during the same period? Did she ever get sick? Did she ever have COVID despite her proudly having been vaxxed multiple times? No scientific or medical reason for a healthy person her age to have ever been vaxxed, unless she had some serious co-morbidities. Anyway, I give Ronda credit where credit is due: she has a good video on how to germinate broccoli sprouts.
